April 4, 1945

France

Dear honey;

     How are my darlings tonight? I didn’t get any mail

today so I should be getting a bunch of it in a day or so

now.

     It has been swell here today. It is just a nice warm

spring day.

     They give French lessons here at the Red Cross. We

just found out about it today, so a couple of us went down

this afternoon, but they didn’t have any classes. I guess

they just have them when they can get an instructor. I’d

like to learn enough to get by on anyway. I should have

taken it in school. I’d better close now. I’m running out

of space. Goodnight darling.

                                              Your loving husband
