V-Mail

England

Dear honey;

     How are my darlings tonight?

     I’ll try a V-mail letter to sort of fill in, in case the others

don’t come through so fast.

     I’m going to try to get in town during the day so that I

can call Ed. One of the fellows called his brother today, so

I know that it can be done. Ed’s being in the air-corp makes

some difference. I know it did on my getting the location of

his camp. He is about a hundred miles from here. Just which

way I don’t know yet. In the States that wouldn’t be much,

but here it’s quite a distance. Transportation isn’t too good.

     We got some English money today. We’ll have to watch

ourselves with it for a while.

     Well darling I’d better close for tonight.

Lots of love for my darlings.

                                             Your loving husband

                                                         Clarence
